7 Foods to Help You Love Sleep

Chamomile Tea isn’t the only thing that will help put you to sleep. Check out these other tasty treats that will have you dreaming in no time.
1. Hummus
You may not have guessed it, but your favourite Mediterranean dip can actually help you catch some zzzz’s. The chickpeas have tryptophan, which will make your comfy bed, that much comfier.
2. Whole Wheat Pasta
Not only is it good for your well being, it’s also good for your sleep cycle. Whole wheat helps you produce insulin, which makes you sleep with a smile.
3. Bananas
Bananas aren’t just rich in potassium; they’re also chock full of magnesium, which is a natural muscle relaxant. I’m sure you agree that a relaxed body makes for a relaxed sleep.
4. Walnuts
These popular nuts have tons of tryptophan, an amino acid that generates serotonin and melatonin (the same good stuff that’s in hummus). So go nuts, have that second handful.
5. Cherry Juice
Believe it or not, this sweet cider may have you sleeping in no time. Cherries can boost levels of melatonin, so why take a pill when you can have a delicious drink.
6. Chicken
Everyone knows that Turkey makes you tired, but did you know that chicken works on your sleep cycles just as much. It’s full of that good stuff, tryptophan – or as we like to call it, the nap-inducer.
7. Rice
Rice is actually quite different than the other foods listed here. That’s because rice gives you immediate energy after you eat it. However, after a while you’ll crash pretty hard – so if you time it just right, rice can be extra nice.
